The Ron Paul Revolution Moves to Congress

"Is Congress the real location of the growing “Ron Paul revolution”?
After a candidate loses an election, it's rare that the candidate's movement continues as a “revolution.” Nobody talks about a John McCain revolution, and even a day after the Mitt Romney defeat for president, nobody's talking about a Mitt Romney movement that will continue after his candidacy. But Representative Ron Paul, a 12-term Texas congressman who is retiring in January, always said his campaign was about ideas instead of personalities."

The Rats are Cornered

"Messianic leaders are a myth and meant to control you and stop you from personal action and independent thought. Thinking a new leader will change the world just gives you an excuse to be lazy. "

Bilderberg President shares some of his thoughts

The article in the Times of London was published before his "election" to whatever he now is.
Herman Van Rompuy, front-runner for presidency, wants EU-wide tax
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article6919380.ece

Highlights:

"Herman Van Rompuy, the Belgian Prime Minister, broke his silence before Thursday’s summit to choose the president — but only at a meeting of the secretive Bilderberg group of top politicians, bankers and businessmen. Mr Van Rompuy’s contentious remarks were aired privately amid the grand surroundings of the Castle of the Valley of the Duchess near Brussels. The château hosted the talks on the Treaty of Rome in 1957 that launched the European Union.
His office released parts of his speech in which he talked of funding social welfare from new green taxes and went on to discuss “financing levies at European level”, which his spokesman said later was similar to Gordon Brown’s call for an international tax on financial transactions."
"The financing of the welfare state, irrespective of the social reform we implement, will require new resources,” Mr Van Rompuy told European and American guests, who included Henry Kissinger. The former US Secretary of State is cited as the inspiration for an EU president following his reported remark: “Who do I call when I want to call Europe?”

Henry, there is no such thing as "Europe" in the sense you seem to imply. And by the way: what the fuck do you want to call "Europe" for? Who the hell are you?! Just tell your Bilderberg-buddies what you want them to broadcast in the media they own, if there is something you want to tell us!

Paris Freedom Fest 2009

Yesterday, I received this interesting invitation:

Dear Friends of Liberty,

You’re invited to the Paris Freedom Fest 2009, jointly sponsored by Libertarian International and Liberté Chérie.
The Freedom Fest will be held in Paris, 10–13 September 2009. Expect a memorable event. Crises and crunches have changed the public perception of the freedom movement. Now is the time to reflect, to redefine the issues and to restore confidence. Together with some leading lights of political philosophy, we will be introducing a new generation of activists and intellectual fighters — young, exciting, never-heard-before students and scholars. They explore radical ideas, they don’t shy from controversy, and they will change the conversation about freedom forever.
A conference is also the time when we catch up with foreign friends and make new ones. It is an inspirational moment, when we recharge our moral batteries.
Don’t miss it.
Christian Michel, Convenor of Paris Freedom Fest 2009

WallStreetJournal - Gold Standard Needed - Ron Paul was right!

"Under a gold standard, if people think the paper money printed by government is losing value, they have the right to switch to gold. Fiat money -- i.e., currency with no intrinsic worth that government has decreed legal tender -- loses its value when government creates more than can be absorbed by the productive real economy."

FED UP - The popular uprising against central banking

“The Fed simply does not care whether its actions are illegal or not. The Fed is operating under the principle that it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission. And forgiveness is just another means to the desired power grab it is seeking.”

New Hampshire Resolution Warns the Federal Government

New legislation introduced in New Hampshire boldly declares federalist principles and, most significantly, threatens secession from the Union for certain unconstitutional actions of the federal government. The bill is currently in committee, and several other states in recent days have introduced similar (though not as confrontational) legislation.
